Where Science and Enlightenment Collide

Life can be Easy!

emptyroom medLife can truly be easy, I kid you not! No I don’t mean for this to be a simple run of the mill self-help ‘schpeal’ to sell you a way of life, but rather point out how we can complicate things and when we do it makes life difficult.

A man who owns a car also has car troubles, and car stress, and a man who owns a big fancy house will also be house poor. Once you work to get your things then you become slave to those things and when they break down our attachments to those things cause us strife. Instead of trying to “keep up with the Joneses” the only person you should be in competition with is yourself. Remember when you strive to improve yourself to do temper your criticism with compassion. Remember we are the victims of our own choices, whether the results are good or bad. For every action we make there is an equal and opposite reaction, we just may not see the results of that action right away.

Imagine how much less you would have to work if you walked, took the bus or rode your bike to work? Perhaps instead of connecting to the Internet spend fifteen minutes connecting with the universe in meditation, and as the zen saying goes, if you don’t have fifteen minutes then spend an hour!

If you want a cleaner home, or more free time; own less, it works every time!

“I know that every day is a stepping stone on my pathway” Louise Hay
